Climate Change Summit to be held in Leeds

4th August, 2021 - 17:00

As the UK looks forward to hosting the world’s largest climate change conference, COP26, later this year in Glasgow, Leeds will be hosting a climate summit of its own.

Leeds' sister Commission, the Yorkshire and Humber Climate Commission has announced that it is partnering with the Yorkshire Post for the one-day event on 10 November. The  venue for the hybrid event has been confirmed as the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds.

The Yorkshire Post Climate Change Summit 2021 will bring together politicians, business leaders, academics and media from a cross-section of sectors. Speakers and attendees will debate the challenges that Yorkshire faces and discuss the best way forward to achieve our shared goals.

The event will also see the launch of a Climate Action Plan for the Yorkshire and Humber region, presented by Professor Andy Gouldson, who is Director of the Yorkshire and Humber Climate Commission.

Conference delegates can book tickets via a dedicated website for the summit. The conference is also available to view online and both the live and virtual offerings will be fully interactive, ensuring engagement regardless of your location.
